Wireless charging is a new method transfer electric power from an energy source to an energy user through an air gap, without need of physical contact. The technology is superior over conductive charging in terms of convenience, safety, and automation. Etrixa offers both key components and whole systems of wireless charging facilities. Our products are both energy-efficient and cost-effective, and will meet the high requirements of your vehicles or equipment to be charged safely and automatically. In addition to our standard modules and solutions, we also can tailor-make the parts and systems for your specific requirements.
Wireless charging pads
Charging pads are the key components in wireless charging systems. Electric energy is converted to magnetic energy in the transmitter pad. The magnetic energy flows to the receiver pad through air or other non-electromagnetic medium. Our pads are optimally designed for extremely low losses and reach efficiency at 99.4 % per pair. We provide standard pads that can transfer power for 5 kW, 50 kW, 85 kW and 170 kW per pair.
Transmitter converters
To generate high frequency alternating current for the transmitter pad, a high-speed DC/AC converter is needed. The high frequency of this converter enables fast energy conversion and consequently high power being transferred. Etrixa utilises high performance SiC semiconductors and can achieve efficiency at 99.3% in this high frequency DC/AC conversion. We provide modules of transmitter converters in power levels of 5 kW, 50 kW, and 170 kW. We also offer full converters in 250 kW and 500 kW for three phase systems.
Wireless charging systems
Wireless charging system includes charging pads, transmitter converter, receiver rectifier, compensation circuits, and control unit. Etrixa has designed the whole wireless charging systems with system optimisation in order to achieve high power density and high efficiency in the system level. The system efficiency can reach 98 % DC-to-DC. Our standard modular components can be parallelly configured for higher power, e.g. 700 kW for ultra-fast charging for electric long-haul trucks, 1MW and even 2MW for electric road ferries.
Products for conventional charging
The needs for high power charging are increasing with the penetration of more electric passenger cars, and specially commercial electric vehicles. Fast charging becomes a bottle-neck for expansion of electrified transportation. For charging stations which requires most cost-effective solutions, Etrixa offers high-quality equipment with conventional charging method in 400V and 800V. These high power chargers have double handles to accommodate more vehicles at the sometime. The power sharing will be controlled based on the SOC of each vehicles.
Fast DC charger, 400V
This DC fast charger is 120 kW and provides 2 charging handles. It is suitable for the vehicles with 4ooV or lower on-board batteries.
Ultra-fast DC charger, 800V
This DC fast charger is 320 kW and provides 2 charging handles. It is suitable for the vehicles with 8ooV or lower on-board batteries.
